An end-of-life doula, is a non-medical professional who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals and their families during the dying process. The role of an end-of-life doula is to offer comfort, companionship, and guidance as individuals navigate the end stages of life.
It's important to note that end-of-life doulas are not healthcare professionals, and their role does not involve medical care or decision-making. Instead, they complement the work of healthcare providers by focusing on the emotional, spiritual, and practical aspects of the dying process. The goal is to provide a more holistic and personalized approach to end-of-life care.
